Marquis

This patten is used to indicate that you are at the start of the automatic sequence mode. It consists of only 6 steps that all are run in about 8/10ths of a second. The sequence is designed so that it automatically wraps giving the illusion of the LEDs marching around the edge of the tree. A real astute observer may notice that the two green LEDs on the bottom of the tree both end up on at the same time because there isn't actually a perfect multiple of 3 LEDs around the edge of the tree. Once the Marquis has run 44 times it advances on to the next pattern.

Insert the two 10K ohm resistors. They will have a color band of Brown Black Orange. Bend the leads at a 90 degree angle before inserting it in the board and remember to point the Gold band toward the top of the board so all the resistors will have the same look. Turn the board over, solder one end of each lead, turn it back over and ensure that they are all straight before turning over again, soldering the other lead and then trim.
