Marquis

This patten is used to indicate that you are at the start of the automatic sequence mode. It consists of only 6 steps that all are run in about 8/10ths of a second. The sequence is designed so that it automatically wraps giving the illusion of the LEDs marching around the edge of the tree. A real astute observer may notice that the two green LEDs on the bottom of the tree both end up on at the same time because there isn't actually a perfect multiple of 3 LEDs around the edge of the tree. Once the Marquis has run 44 times it advances on to the next pattern.

Insert the IC socket, paying attention to the orientation of the dip on the side of the socket and making sure it matches the board. Carefully turn the board over and solder one tab at the corner of the socket. Turn the board over to make sure it is flat against the board before turning oit over and soldering the remaining pins.
